We sell two versions. VideoHome Light and VideoHome Deluxe. The light version simply converts the VHS/Camcorder Tape into a Digital File. Puts it on the Desktop of your PC and you can then make a copy. The Deluxe Version comes with two additional pieces of software that allow you to Edit the footage before you make a DVD. So you can add things in, take things out, add music and effects etc. It also comes with a piece of DVD Burning software as part of the package. So if you just want to copy the VHS then you need VideoHome Light but if you want to Edit you need VideoHome Deluxe.

The fact is that VHS tapes don’t last forever. Every month that passes shortens the life span on your VHS tape with some manufacturers giving only a 3 year guarantee. Rubbish I hear you say I have tapes I have had for 15 years. Have you tried to play them lately. At best sound and picture quality will have degraded and some of those frames may now be replaced by fuzz and snow.

We all have lots of tapes we should convert but what puts us off is not knowing how to do it or thinking it’s going to be really expensive to get top quality copies. Plenty of companies offer the service but the prices that some charge are excessive to say the least especially when all you need to convert you VHS to DVD is a PC and the great VideoHome Product.

VideoHome Light is simple and easy to use and offers no additional software. You simply make the copy from the VHS to the Hard Drive on your PC (sorry Mac Users but this product is PC only) Once the digital file has been made it’s a case of simply making a DVD

VideoHome Deluxe is software packed to allow you to cut, edit, add sound etc to all those movies. You can add some music or special effects or cut out parts of the tape you don’t want. On home made VHS tapes for example you can remove all those commercial breaks or if you have for example a wedding video with sections you want removed no problem simply edit them out using the fantastic software provided.

All you need to use these products is 10 to 15 minutes to set things up which are carefully outlined and then you are good to go.
One question we are asked frequently is can I convert shop purchased VHS Tapes and convert them to DVD? The answer is yes. You are allowed to make 1 back up copy of the tape for your own personal use so you can convert this type of VHS to DVD using VideoHome. Also if you have any VHS tapes purchased in the USA then you can convert these VHS to DVD using VideoHome. The rule of thumb is if you can play the VHS then you can convert it to DVD using your PC and VideoHome
